Well yesterday was fun, went to a Beer Run, even though I did a Cider Walk instead, but never mind 😛 Was fun, about 70 people did it and I was last, which I was proud of 😀 I walked it with a couple of mates and we were near the end anyway so thought we may as well let them overtake us so we’d be actually last. The person that was 1st took 15 minutes, I think we took about an hour and 10 minutes, so it was a close thing 😛 Apparently it raised a few thousand pounds altogether so it’s all good 😀
Silly Eljelly
Eljay Eljelly who was working on a Task Scheduler script for Messenger Plus! Live, to almost identically replicate the one from Plus! 3.x has just realised he’s lost the code to it 😛 Clever him didn’t back it up or send it to anyone so has now lost all the code for it. He probably wouldn’t have finished it anyway, but it’s even less likely now as he would have to start again from scratch. Never mind, I wouldn’t of used it anyway, but here’s a screenshot of what it looked like before he lost it:
Skittles
I played skittles again last night, luckily I was driving this week, so I had a few drinks while playing. I got the same score as last week, 6-5-5-6, but I wasnt the lowest scorer!! Hooray!
Once again I did better in the beer leg, got 7 this, managed an 8 last time some how. Maybe should actually practise 😛  Never mind, we won the match again anyway somehow. Should be good to see how we do next week.
Dempsey Cocktail
When I was playing ‘Hex Appeal’, (a game like hangman and blockbuster mixed together) on the quiz machine in the pub the other week, the category was Cocktails, we only had a few guesses left and time was running out, we had something like ?e?p?e? I jokingly said ‘Dempsey’ would fit in, and pressed D. As time was short we pressed them all and it was correct, so aparently there’s a cocktail named after me 😀 Well that’s a lie but never mind 😛
So if you ever fancy a Dempsey Cocktail, here it is:
- 1 oz Gin
- 1 oz Apple Brandy
- 1/2 tsp Anisette
- 1/2 tsp Grenadine
Stir with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I will do somewhen, sounds uh, nice 😛
Nothing Much
Done nothing much today, which makes a change 😛 I tidied up my desk at work, I must have been bored! 😛 Aparently there is a wall in front of my desk :O There was so much crap on the desk and on the shelf in front of me I never saw it 😛
I’ve spent some time today trying to sort out some dodgy bugs when resizing controls in Window Designer, the sizes just just about and stuff, I should get it fixed later.
I’ve also been helping out Sunshine with her new website SunshineWeb.org, helping move some of her files over from her old site and sorting out the scripts with the new db etc.
Was talking to Patchou earlier, and there are a few cool improvements to the scripting feature of Messenger Plus! Live, should be quite cool to see how many people use them in their scripts. 🙂

If you’re reading this then you already know, but the site has moved to a new domain 😀 demp.se/y!! The /y at the end looks a bit rubbish, but there isn’t a .ey TLD. So yea if you didn’t know why I chose it, it’s cos it’s my name (without the dot and slash, obviously).
I dunno what I’ll use the GiantFerret.net domain for now, most likely it will just be added to my pile of unused domains 😛 I might get around to using it for something one day, but knowing what I’m like, I doubt it 😛
A Little Update
For anyone who’s interested, work is still being done on the Window Designer. Today HenkNooz sent me an update of the parts of the project he’s been working on, the controls toolbox, options window and project view. We have merged together what we both have so far and it’s looking good. I’ve been fixing some small bugs like being able to resize controls outside the visual area of the window. I am currently mostly working on the control properties window, which is becoming more complex the more I get into it, but progress is definatley being made. Hoping to try get another preview release out soon so that progress can be seen.
Lazy Day
I’m decided I’m having a lazy day today, I didn’t get up untill 1pm and I’m going to watch a carnival in an hour or so, so gonna have to have a few alcoholic beverages whilst watching. Then goto a mates house after for a few more drinks, so that should be fun.
Today is the first day I haven’t done any work on either one of my websites or software projects for a few weeks, so it’s nice to have a day off!
I’m off now, I’ve gotta go buy a few crates of cider for the day ahead 😀
September
Well September is upon us, 8 months past and nearly another year gone by. Apart from going to the pub, I can’t actually think of anything I’ve done. Never mind.
Went out last night, had a few drinks, got in about 2.30am, couldnt wait to get up for work this morning at half 7! I’m still knackered now, I nearly fell asleep at my desk earlier, but then the phone woke me.
Addictive Game – Blix
I found a little game the other day called Blix. Its a bit weird, but I managed to get a score of 17,300 22,200 32,200, which I was impressed with 😛
You have to make vertical lines by moving one of the rows either left or right. If you make more than one in a single move, it gives you some extra moves, which are like lives as it uses one each time you make a move without making a line.
