25 Things

Got tagged by this on Facebook but didn’t bother with it, and saw Al do it over at Self Made Minds, so thought I would too!

1. I’m a big fan of Nokia phones and have had a few over the years:  3210, 3310, 3330, 5100, 6600, N80 and N95, even though I am now using an iPhone.
2. I don’t own a plain t-shirt, every one I own has a comedy slogan on.  At last count I had over 80.
3. I’ve been a fan of The Simpsons since I was a young’un, apparently I used to call myself ‘Adam Dempsey Turtle Power King Bartman‘  Catchy!
4. Up until I was about 12 I got the Beano delivered to my house every week and I had hundreds of items of Beano and Dennis the Menace memorabilia and my dad was once in the Beano dressed as Dennis!
5. I went to Sunday School until the age of about 14, but I never actually followed the lesson, I was just allowed to sit in the corner and do what I wanted, often making things from old lolly sticks from what I remember!
6. I’ve been driving about 4 years and had 2 cars, in that time I’ve never cleaned my car once.
7. Apart from a paper round and Sticking up for skittles, my current job is the only once I’ve ever had.
8. When I was 16 I was diagnosed with Leukemia, been finished treatment for 3 years now and all is looking good.
9. My family and friends are the most important thing to me, there’s not a lot I wouldn’t do for them.
10. I once foolishly put a plugged-in kettle lead in my mouth, luckily we had a good fuse box which cut the power!
11. I’ve had a party at home ever year for about the last 8 years and each year they get bigger and more fun!  Alcohol + Bouncy Castles = Fun,  Dempsefest 2008
12. One of the only things I can ever really remember winning is a Spice Girls puffa jacket from The Sun about 10 years ago and I sold it as soon as it arrived.
13. I’m a big fan of The Streets and have been to see them perform live twice, most recently last October.
14. I am the Captain of our local Skittles team and at the last league update we were 2nd!
15. I’ve never broken any bones (That I remember)
16. I’m not a fan of football at all, but I may watch England matches in the World Cup and things, but mostly just because my mates are they and it’s in a pub!
17. I have only ever been abroad once, and that was to Benidorm last year for mate’s 21st Birthday.
18. Even though I rarely cry, I have been known to nearly cry at stupid things like people dying or leaving on TV shows.
19. I still haven’t repaired my car bumper from hitting a deer last February.
20. Even though I’ve cut down a lot, I still enjoy a few drinks on weekends, some people have accused me of being an alcoholic in the past.
21. My mates often say I have ADHD as I can bit a bit hyperactive sometimes.
22. I’m very, very lazy and very, very forgetful, which don’t make a good combination.
23. I once put a caution wet floor cone on top of a door at school, which then fell and hit a teacher, wasn’t too clever, but thought it was funny at the time.
24. I’ve never been a big fan of hot weather, I much prefer to sit in the shade.
25. 90% of my mates just call me by by surname, Dempsey, which is why I use the name online too.
